A Personal Blog on Bicycle Transportation and DIY Projects

Critical Mass Miami, Saturday Ride

We met in the morning for a nice ride through NW Miami. There was a quick stop at a “green” festival. I had a great time meeting with those who cared about theirlocal community. I honestly never thought that existed in Miami!  Of particular interest was the vegan cooking, the urban gardening and the rain barrel workshop.  I later took a tour of Brickell Key on my own as I have never been their before.  There is a large guard shack, with large gates that looked like a great obstacle to the “I am just sight seeing and not willing to pay for parking for my car” crowd.  It is interesting that no one cares if you are on bicycle.  So in the future if you want to go trespass Brickell Key, take a bicycle.  The guards apparently don’t care.
