The right tools for the job

Never underestimate the importance of buying the right tools for the job, even if you think it is a one time thing.  I had bought the following this year:

– A Park bike repair stand

– A Park long pedal wrench (frees sticky pedals, makes sure the pedals stay too)

– A crank extranctor (leave the hammer alone and use this tool)

– A bottom bracket removal tool (could you believe I have used this 3 times already?)

All of the above (with the exception of the repair stand) were items I bought because I figured that the shop charges would be about the cost of the tool itself.  What I didn’t expect was that I had used them multiple times over the intended single use!   They have more than paid for themselves.
