Garage speakers

Garage speakers should have big woofers and wood trim. No black, no plastic, no odd shapes. It should be powered by a 1970’s receiver with wood trim and bass/treble tone controls. It should be cranked up loud on a weekend afternoon playing nothing but rock and metal.

I put these speakers together from a shipping crate I had. I chopped the crate in two, built a new baffle and then mounted some speakers that were pulled from another pair of speakers. The receiver had been in the family as far as I can remember. The knobs were scratchy so a blast of Caig deoxit took care of that issue. Now it sounds great with my iPod.
